Saltance Productions is a not-for-profit, membership based organization lead by founder and CEO, Heidi Ford.

"Through an extraordinary series of creative resources, the arts in Canada have begun to develop and thrive. The emerging artist leads this revolution. If properly nurtured, our youth will create an enduring and dynamic new artistic movement in our communities and beyond.

The training workshops and seminars offered by Saltance Productions will give young artists the tools to succeed in the professional world. It will also keep these artists active and engaged for the period of their development.

Art and culture is an integral part of a vibrant community. A vibrant community will increase economic growth and attract visitors."

    - to provide training of the highest calibre to emerging Canadian artists;
    - to develop new projects that will have a positive impact on the community;
    - to make the performing arts accessible to smaller communities;
    - and to inspire young dancers from across Canada to further their development by creating opportunities for them to participate in.

The mission is:

ARTICLE 3 – CORPORATE PURPOSE

The corporate not-for-profit purposes of the Association whether directly or indirectly, and whether in the provinces and territories of Canada or abroad, are the following:
  1. To produce, operate, support and present in a professional manner performing arts festivals, notably theatre and dance shows, that demonstrate a certain high standard of quality, present in both the art form and the performers comprised of professionals and amateurs, for the purposes of educating and advancing the public’s understanding and appreciation of performing arts, and to educate, train, and promote emerging artists through effective participation in such festivals and related workshops. Arts festivals can be held only once, locally and periodically, usually occurring at the same time every year and lasting over the course of one or several days, or a week or more.
  2. To educate and increase the public’s understanding and appreciation of the arts by providing artistic experiences originating from more than one province or territory, and performances of an artistic nature in public places, senior citizens homes, churches, community centres or educational institutions and by providing seminars on topics relating to such performances.
  3. To provide instructional seminars on topics related to the performing arts produced by the Association.
  4. To meet the professional standards required to raise the public's artistic taste, knowledge and appreciation of art.
  5. The exercise of all activities in order to develop, register, license, obtain license and exploit all patents, designs, trademarks, or intellectual property rights as well as all transactions pertaining to such patents, designs trademarks, or such rights,
  6. And more generally, the exercise of all transactions of an operational or financial nature or in real or personal property related directly or indirectly to any of the purposes listed above, or any transactions facilitating or related to the realization of these purposes.
